Silky Vanilla Buttercream Frosting

Rich, creamy, and perfectly sweet—this buttercream frosting is the ultimate topping for cakes, cupcakes, and cookies. It spreads smoothly, pipes beautifully, and holds its shape while enhancing every bite with a luxurious vanilla finish.

Ingredients

1 cup Unsalted Butter (softened to room temperature)

34 cups Powdered Sugar (sifted for smoothness)

2 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract

24 tbsp Milk or Heavy Cream (adjust for consistency)

Pinch of Salt (balances the sweetness)

Instructions

Beat the Butter In a large bowl, beat the softened butter on medium speed for 2–3 minutes until pale, light, and fluffy.

Add Vanilla and Saltv Mix in vanilla extract and a pinch of salt.

Gradually Add Powdered Sugar Add powdered sugar one cup at a time, beating on low speed after each addition. Scrape down the sides as needed.

Adjust Consistency Add milk or cream, 1 tablespoon at a time, until you reach your desired frosting consistency—smooth and spreadable or thicker for piping.

Whip It Up Once all ingredients are combined, beat on high speed for another 1–2 minutes for extra fluffiness.
